Much as I would LOVE to see Amy and Reese together on screen, they are both way too good for this kind of film :/
I totally agree with you, Jess.
Night at The Museum…?? As they say here in Aruba:
“Ay no!”
Which means:
“Oh no!”
They both are way too talented for a film like this but on the other hand, it will be a lot of fun to film and probably a nice change from their latest projects.
A sequel? Well, I can’t say I’m absolutely beside myself with joy. The prequel was alright, but mainly thanks to the onscreen chemistry of Owen Wilson and Steve Coogan, who had the only truly entertaining scenes. If they bring Owen and Steve back (and Dick van Dyke, because he’s just too cool) I’ll probably end up seeing it simply because I like the three as well as watching the occasional no-brainer. However, I have to agree with the others here – Reese has skills to take on a much more demanding role than this.
I think that even though Reese has done ‘higher-ranking’ movies, she picked to do this project – so she must think it’s a great movie to do. It would show that she’s has a very wide range of movies and fans. Also she may have picked this for her kids, her kids may have seen the first one, liked it, and she thought it was an idea to see if she could join in on the second one.
