Reese will be receiving her Star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame later today, but before that event starts, I have a couple of other updates for you.

Last week the first official photo from Water For Elephants was released, and it shows all 3 main characters – Reese as Marlena, Robert Pattinson as Jacob, and Christoph Waltz as August. This image appears to be some kind of poster or flyer to announce the release of movie tie-in versions of the book, a paperback of which will be released at the beginning of March 2011. As a young man, Jacob Jankowski (Robert Pattinson) was tossed by fate onto a rickety train that was home to the Benzini Brothers Most Spectacular Show on Earth. It was the early part of the great Depression, and for Jacob, now ninety, the circus world he remembers was both his salvation and a living hell. A veterinary student just shy of a degree, he was put in charge of caring for the circus menagerie.

It was there that he met Marlena (Reese Witherspoon), the beautiful equestrian star married to August (Christoph Waltz), the charismatic but twisted animal trainer. And he met Rosie, an un-trainable elephant who was the great gray hope for this third-rate traveling show. The bond that grew among this unlikely trio was one of love and trust, and, ultimately, it was their only hope for survival.

Water For Elephants is currently scheduled for release in the US on April 15th 2011, and in the UK a week later on April 22nd.

Robert Pattinson’s new movie Water for Elephants will be coming out in April of 2011 but it has been announced that the Twilight Star will be featured in movie tie-in versions of books. Robert Pattinson has already been seen on the covers of the Twilight books so this is really nothing new for him but it just shows how popular the actor has become over the past few years.

Joining Rob Pattinson in this venture are Water for Elephants co-stars Reese Witherspoon and Christoph Waltz. There will be a paper back version released on March 1, 2011 just a month before the movie hits the big screen.

Adapting a movie from a novel is risky business. Sometimes it’s a hit and sometimes it can be a colossal failure but by all accounts so far, the feeling is that Water for Elephants, originally a book by Sara Gruen, will be a smash hit. The opening weekend is expected to be a huge success due to the fact that tens of thousands of Robert Pattinson fans are expected to make their way to the theaters to see their beloved actor.

The paper back version by Alogonquin Books will sell for $14.95. If you haven’t read the book yet you should. It is a great read and will give you more perspective on the film when it is released. If you are a Robert Pattinson fan I highly recommend giving this book a read.
