Poor Reese! We hope she makes a speedy recovery and is back to her best in no time. These articles state that the accident was minor, and that she’s already at home resting, so there’s no need for real worry.

Reese Witherspooon is resting at home after being struck by a vehicle on Wednesday while she was on a run.

Captain Judah Mitchell of the Santa Monica Police Department told Access Hollywood that the actress was hit by a car while jogging in the beachside town near Los Angeles.

According to authorities, the incident occurred around 11 AM at the intersection of 20th Street and Georgina Avenue, when an 84-year-old female resident of Santa Monica struck the actress.

Reese “suffered minor injuries” from the accident.

Following the incident, she was taken to a local hospital, Capt. Mitchell confirmed to Access.

The unidentified driver was interviewed on the scene and released. She was cited for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.

A rep for the actress released a statement to Access noting the actress was “not seriously injured” during the incident. The spokesperson’s statement also noted that Reese is now “resting comfortably at home.”

I wish Ms. Witherspoon and speedy and complete recovery. Ms. Witherspoon showed amazing class by choosing not to take this personally and prosecute the elderly lady who struck her. But on the other hand it is clear that the elderly woman poses a serious threat to society and should never be allowed behind the wheel of a car again. My son was once struck by a vehicle in a crosswalk with other members of his track team. Fortunately, he too was not seriously hurt. But we must protect of children and adults from such drivers with far too much experience behind the wheel.

I am glad you are ok and doing well. I commend you for not suing the elderly person who hit you, you are very classy. It is refreshing to see indviduals like you who don’t feel the need to make a point.

Thanks,
