Seeing as it’s a leap year day today, I thought I’d sneak in one more screencapture update … and because I forgot to include it in previous posts Adding to the many, many screencaps I’ve added today, we now have some from the recently released flashback snippet ET posted from their first interview with Reese back in 1991. Find the video here and captures in the Gallery. Isn’t she adorable?

For our final big screencapture update today, you can now find caps from Reese’s appearance on Live With Kelly earlier this month in our Gallery. Unfortunately I couldn’t find a better quality video than the one I posted at the time (watch it here), but I thought I’d add screencaps from it regardless. So, here they are:

Reese was in Washington D.C yesterday to take part in the Avon Communications Awards, which honoured various campaigns for their amazing work in publicising the need to end violence against women. Reese looked chic and pretty in a little black dress, and posed with the winners and Avon CEO Andrea Jung, as well as speaking on stage.
As you will read in the press release below, Reese has also filmed a new video campaign for Avon, sharing 3 ways to speak out against domestic violence.
Read about the Avon Communications Awards and Reese’s new campaign video in the press release below, plus watch the official video footage from the event. Photos from the event and screencaps from the three ways video can be seen in our Gallery!
• Avon Communications Awards: Speaking Out About Violence Against Women x38

Avon Global Ambassador & Honorary Chairman of the Avon Foundation for Women Reese Witherspoon and Avon Chairman and CEO Andrea Jung today awarded four global non-governmental organizations with the inaugural Avon Communications Awards: Speaking Out About Violence Against Women for their campaigns that are bringing attention to the need to end violence against women. Witherspoon and Jung presented the awards, funded by the Avon Foundation, at the 2nd World Conference of Women’s Shelters in Washington, D.C., which brought together more than 1,400 advocates, activists and leaders from 96 countries to collaborate to change attitudes about such violence. The awards are part of the Avon Speak Out Against Domestic Violence program, which has donated nearly $40 million globally to end violence against women.

To kick off our ‘big screencapture updates’ day, I’ve made and added over 500 screencaptures from Reese’s rather hilarious appearance on the Graham Norton Show in the UK earlier this month. She looked gorgeous in a purple top and smart black trousers, and debuted her then-new haircut.

I’ve updated the This Means War Promotion section on our sidebar, to include links to all the recent photos, as well as a list of the upcoming appearances Reese will be making (yes, still!) to promote the movie worldwide. Unless I heard wrong, I think Reese said in her recent iVillage live chat that she would be going to Brazil, Mexico City and Germany in March to promote the movie before it’s release in each of those countries.
So we have lots of new photos to look forward to still!
As promised, HD screencaptures from Reese’s appearance in the little video segments shown during the Academy Awards on Sunday have been added to our Gallery. Check out our update post on this yesterday for more information on it.

While Reese did not walk the red carpet at last nights Oscars, she was featured within the ceremony! Throughout the night, several segments were shown with various stars talking about their love for movies, and Reese was one of them. She was shown within two separate segments, firstly talking about her childhood experiences with movies (her family went to the cinema on Sunday nights, she reminisced), and then expressing her love for Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell in her faourite film, Overboard, saying that it always cheers her up and touches her soul. It was really lovely to see her included and hear her talk about cinema, and the segments were a real highlight of the ceremony for me.
Unfortunately I haven’t been able to get a clip of these segments yet, but I will have HD screencaps for you tomorrow, so check back then!
The film fans amongst us will know that today is Oscar day, and while our Reese is not involved in this years ceremony (she might attend, I don’t know – I’ll keep you posted), I thought it would be fun to do something here to mark the big movie event. So I racked my brains for an Oscar special with a difference, and came up with a big Election update! Many people think that Reese was overlooked for an Oscar nomination for her performance as Tracy Flick in this movie, but not only that, it’s director, the great Alexander Payne, is nominated at this years ceremony for Best Director for The Descendants.
Reese says she has remained friends with Alexander Payne over the years, and even mentioned in her recent live iVillage chat that they had talked about working together again. Just last week she presented him with the Filmmaker Of The Year Award at the ACE Eddie Awards. Of their movie together, Reese thinks that it has a “wonderful sense of honesty and reality” and says it’s director has a “unique voice”. She recalls her casting in the movie, saying “We had this weird meeting, then suddenly, the next week he offered me the role. He’d only seen `Man in the Moon’ and he was sure I could do it! I didn’t want to call him and say, `That was nine years ago, things have changed a little.’ But it worked out.” To this day Alexander says he still receives compliments on Reese’s performance in the movie, and has said of his Election star “She’s going to be interesting for a long time”.
Tracy: “Dear Lord Jesus, I do not often speak with you and ask for things, but now, I really must insist that you help me win the election tomorrow because I deserve it and Paul Metzler doesn’t, as you well know. I realize that it was your divine hand that disqualified Tammy Metzler and now I’m asking that you go that one last mile and make sure to put me in office where I belong so that I may carry out your will on earth as it is in heaven. Amen.”
We’re sure Reese is rooting for him at tonight’s event, and he certainly deserves to be recognised for his funny, moving and relatable movie The Descendants. As well as that movie, Reese has also recently revealed that she loved The Artist and Beginners.
TRIVIA: Did you know? Director Alexander Payne wanted to associate Tracy Flick with straight lines, and Mr McAllister with circles. He admitted that he didn’t think he did that very well throughout the film.
I’ve updated the Gallery with lots of Election-related photos, including stills, posters, a promotional shoot and pictures from the premiere. Check out our still-a-work-in-progress filmography page for the movie to read some interesting trivia about the movie. And scroll further down this post for videos from a few interviews Reese gave for the movie plus a couple of trailers.
Enjoy all these Election updates! And as always, don’t be shy – if you have something to say/if you want to share your thoughts on this movie etc. then leave us a comment!

Reese has taken the This Means War promotion to South Korea, and yesterday attended a press conference and premiere with director McG. in Seoul. Reese looked luminous in a pink and black Michael Kors dress at the press conference, and was her usual animated self when talking to the press. She then posed on the red carpet and signed for fans at the premiere, wearing a Giambattista Valli dress with Neil Lane jewllery and Jimmy Choo heels. She looks fabulous at both events, don’t you think?
Check out the first HQ photos in our Gallery, and check back tomorrow for more pics, as well as any articles/interviews/tidbits and videos there may be….
