Reason #3 Why We Love Reese…

… Her cute, flirty, feminine style

Whether rocking a trouser suit, a floor length gown, or her trademark cocktail dress, Reese is always a stand-out on the red carpet. She manages to look classy yet sexy, and is always dressed for the occassion! While she previously sported a variety of looks on the red carpet, in recent years Reese has shown a tendency to stick with little cocktail dresses, varying in material and colour. As such, her style is sometimes described as predictable, which we can understand, but regardless, she still manages to look good, whichever little dress she has chosen that night! She’s not afraid to wear a splash of vibrant colour, and amidst several darker outfits, we sometimes see red, pink and even yellow dresses crop up on Miss Reese.

Reese has recently revealed her favourite designers to include Jason Wu, Giambattista Valli, Armani, and Stella McCartney (who is also a personal friend, I believe!). She loves Jason Wu so much, she wore 5 of his creations at various events within 18 months! She’s also a fan of Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen’s label The Row, although admits she won’t let herself buy a black leather bag from it that she’s fixated with, because it is “prohibitively expensive”. We’ve noticed Reese has also favoured Zac Posen and Nina Ricci on the red carpet in recent years.

Reese is not just a style icon to us though – fellow celebrities often list her amongst their favourites, including country star Carrie Underwood, who says that Reese is “one of my favorites because she just seems so normal.”

Reese is said to work with stylist Leslie Fremar, who was recently voted the 2nd most powerful stylist in showbiz by The Hollywood Reporter. Fremar also works with Charlize Theron.

So, let’s have a look at Reese’s style! Reese’s major fashion moment arguably came at the 2007 Golden Globe Awards, when she stepped onto the red carpet in a super hot bright yellow cocktail dress by Nina Ricci. It was Reese’s first major public appearance since her divorce, and this was obviously her way of showing the world that she was back and better than ever. Fans and fashion critics alike gasped at the bold colour and sexy, eye-catching look – a look no-one would have expected from Reese! She accessorised with bright red heels, silver jewellry and her hair styled with sleek bangs. This look always pops when we see photos of it! Reese stuck with what – or who – worked during the rest of the 2007 award season (at which she was a regular presenter, due to her big wins the year before), wearing another Nina Ricci cocktail dress – although this time in a more subdued brown colour – at the SAG Awards, and a gorgeous floor length purple gown by the same designer at the Oscars. One of my favourite looks is the dazzling Monique Lhuillier prom-style dress Reese wore at the premiere of Just Like Heaven, where she looked just like a fairy! And Reese proved she could pull of a more classic look at the Oscars in 2002, wearing a delicate, beaded 1920′s style black dress – and with her hair styled the way it was, she looked perfectly Old Hollywood!
