As you may have previously read, Reese’s son Deacon dreams of becoming a pizza boy. Well, Pizza Hut has now written an open letter to the child – they have a job waiting for him!

“Dear Deacon,” writes Sandi Karrmann, identified as the “Chief People Officer” for the pizza chain, “We recently heard that you want to be a pizza delivery driver when you grow up. How wonderful! You’ve got several years to go before you can join our team, but in the meantime we’re sending you a few things, so that you can practice.”

The company’s gifts to the boy include a Pizza Hut uniform “that’s just your size,” writes Karrmann, who also sent a mini-delivery car “for you to polish your driving skills,” as well as gift cards for Pizza Hut pizzas.

Also included: encouragement. “We have delivery drivers who have worked for us for 10, 15, even 20 years!” says the letter. “And the same Pizza Hut drivers who deliver hot, fresh pizzas right to your door have gone on to become successful business, doctors, lawyers and, yes, actors.”

Reese Witherspoon, among many other celebrities (including Walk the Line co-star Joaquin Phoenix), is involved in a broadcast public service announcement (PSA), calling attention to the need for affordable, quality health care for all Americans.

Hollywood’s leading nonprofit organizations, the Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF) and the Motion Picture & Television Fund (MPTF), have joined the “Divided We Fail” national movement led by AARP to bring attention to the domestic issues that worry Americans most: health care and financial security. Launching today, this unprecedented three-year collaboration between the entertainment world and the nation’s largest advocacy group seeks bipartisan cooperation in finding solutions.

“We are thrilled to have EIF and MPTF join us,” said Bill Novelli, CEO of AARP. “This nation’s health care and financial security crisis is about to explode: 47 million Americans have no health insurance, and more middle-class people are filing for bankruptcy because of health care-related expenses than for any other reason. We need to build a national conversation around these issues, and the entertainment industry is uniquely suited to help us do that,” he said. “We must get everyone — individuals, companies, and policymakers — involved, regardless of their political persuasion. Only then will we be able to address these very serious challenges successfully.”

Great news! Ms. Witherspoon is nominated in the Favorite Female Movie Star category at the People’s Choice Awards! Other nominees include Halle Berry and Sandra Bullock.

Winners in all 38 categories, split among film, TV and music, will be announced during a ceremony at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on January 8, 2008.

The public will choose the winner so please vote for Reese! You can keep on voting for her every day!

Glamour Reese Witherspoon has a new gallery located at Reese-Pics.com. We’ve been working on it for the past few months, re-organizing everything. Many photos have been replaced with better quality versions and all the recent event albums have many new shots! You no longer have to register to view event photos but please do so if you wish to see the photoshoots.

As you may notice, there’s “only” 3606 photos in the gallery at the moment. This is because we have so many images of Reese and I have not had the time to go through anything even near the majority of it. So I’ve mainly just added all the 2007 pictures. The gallery will be updated on a regular basis to catch up on the older photos. Meanwhile, the old gallery will stay up so you can still see all of these photos.

Is Woody Allen looking for a new muse? The Oscar-winning director, whose last few flicks have featured Scarlett Johansson, is trying to court another Hollywood heavyweight and fellow Oscar winner for his films – Reese Witherspoon.

“Woody Allen is dying to work with Reese Witherspoon on a comedy or on a drama,” a source tells OK!. “He’s a huge fan of her work. He would cast her in a heartbeat.”

Sounds like an open invitation, Reese.

Kate Winslet and Reese Witherspoon are neighbors and drinking buddies? Who knew?

“I always wanted to be a European movie star, wear giant sunglasses, elaborate neck scarves, smoke hand-rolled cigarettes, and have savoir faire and gravitas,” Reese admitted onstage at the BAFTA/LA Cunard Britannia Awards last night.

Obviously, the perky all-American actress couldn’t become one. So she became friends with one.

“Imagine my good fortune when Kate Winslet moved into my neighborhood, rang my door bell and said, (insert British accent here) “Dahling, Sam is off shooting, and I believe our children are the same age. Could they possibly have a play date and oh, by the way, it’s almost 9 o’clock and I’ve had nothing to do drink, do you have any wine?”

As earlier reported, Ms. Witherspoon attended the 16th Annual BAFTA/LA Cunard Britannia Awards yesterday in Los Angeles. There she presented an award to good friend Kate Winslet. Reese did not appear on the red carpet as she went to another event earlier the day – Children’s Defense Fund’s 17th Annual Beat the Odds Awards, which Reese attends annually. Reese Witherspoon is desperate to work with Hollywood actress Kate Winslet — because they have so much in common. The Oscar-winning actress insists she’d love to appear alongside the Titanic star on the big screen, because they both successfully juggle their careers with motherhood. Winslet has two kids, Mia, 7; and Joe, 3; while Witherspoon is mum to Ava, 8; and Deacon, 4. And Witherspoon believes the pair are so alike, they’re almost “the same person”.

She says, “I had a chance recently to hang out with Kate Winslet and (Winslet’s husband) Sam Mendes. We just really get along. We’re from different countries but we’re sort of the same person. We’re the same age, we have children who are the same age. I just love Kate. I think she is just so great and I’d really love to work with her.”
