KSBRadio.com report that Reese will receive her Hollywood Walk Of Fame Star this coming Wednesday – December 1st. As is often the case, it is obviously timed to coincide with promotion for How Do You Know, and the films director, James L. Brooks, will speak at the ceremony.
Congratulations again to Reese on this wonderful honour! This is sure to be a great start to the month for Reese, and for us Reese fans. Remember that How Do You Know is released in the US on December 17th, so we’re bound to be having a Reese-packed month!
How about a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame? Reese Witherspoon will be honored with a star this Wednesday. James L. Brooks is scheduled to be the celeb who’ll speak before she gives her thank-you speech. He just directed her in a new comedy called “How Do You Know.” More celebrity speakers could be added between now and then.
“Extra’s” AJ Calloway laughed with actress Reese Witherspoon at the Avon Foundation for Women event in NYC, chatting about her new movie with Jack Nicholson (“How Do You Know”), her shoes (Louboutin) and doing a mini-triathlon (with her 11-year-old daughter, Ava).
“It was hard,” Witherspoon said of the triathlon. “My results showed my lack of training. Ava pointed out that a 5th-grader passed me.”
A benefit evening for the Avon Foundation for Women hosted by Andrea Jung & Reese Witherspoon. Featuring a Musical Performance by Melissa Etheridge
The 10th annual Avon Foundation for Women Gala tonight honored exceptional women and men for their efforts to end breast cancer and violence against women. The event, held at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City, has raised more than $20 million for Avon philanthropy in the decade since it launched. The event was hosted by Reese Witherspoon, award-winning actress and Honorary Chair of the Avon Foundation for Women, and Andrea Jung, Chairman and CEO, Avon Products, Inc., with a special musical performance by Melissa Etheridge.
More than 550 guests attended and donated $2.2 million this year to benefit breast cancer research and access to care and domestic violence education, prevention and victim support programs. Along with Reese Witherspoon and Andrea Jung, presenters included Patrick and Jillian Dempsey and Christy Turlington Burns.
“This is our very special tenth anniversary celebration where we honor extraordinary champions who are changing women’s lives, and salute their powerful contributions to women’s health and empowerment,” said Andrea Jung. “Through the generosity of our supporters, in addition to the grassroots efforts of millions of supporters around the world — including our Avon Sales Representatives, Associates, and customers — Avon is the world’s largest corporate philanthropy focused on issues that matter most to women.”
Reese attended the Annual Avon Foundation For Women Gala in New York City last night! She looked gorgeous in a little Jason Wu dress with a black bustier top and a ruffled champagne coloured skirt, with Louboutin shoes and her beautiful blonde hair down. As an Avon Global Ambassador, Reese co-hosted the event with Avon Chairwoman and CEO Andrea Jung, who she greeted and posed with on the pink carpet. There was also a Sweet Home Alabama reunion of sorts, as Patrick Dempsey and his wife Jillian, who is Avon’s Global Color Creative Director, were seen in a group photo with Miss Reese!
70+ photos from the event have been added to our Gallery for you…
A few weeks ago, Reese attended a benefit for the LiveStrong Foundation hosted by the ‘Hollywood Power Players’ in West Hollywood. She looked chic and pretty in a black skirt suit with her blonde hair loose. Photos are in the Gallery for you!
Reese attended the Stand Up To Cancer event last night, as expected. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to find any photos of Reese on the red carpet for the event or backstage, but she did appear in a message during the show, asking people to call and donate. So maybe she snuck in a back door, or pre-recorded her message. Either way, thanks to Brianne we have a video of Reese’s message! I’ve added screencaps to the Gallery, and will upload the video asap.
If you’d like to donate to Stand Up 2 Cancer then you can do so here, and you can find out more about the charity and the show here.

One of the musical performances will be an all-star collaboration led by Stevie Wonder with Natasha Bedingfield, Queen Latifah, Martina McBride, Aaron Neville, and Dave Stewart.
A couple of days ago Reese attended the MOCA Opening Reception For Dennis Hopper Double Standard in Los Angeles. When I first saw the thumbnails of these photos I had to do a double-take cause I didn’t think it was Reese! She looks different, don’t you think? Maybe it’s the ultra white-blonde hair (for Water For Elephants). Anyway, 2 HQs have been added to the Gallery.
In other site news, I now finally have time to work on the site properly! To start with, I’m continuing with the site re-vamp by adding/updating the content behind the scenes. I’m hoping to launch the re-vamp in a couple of weeks, so keep checking back for that! When the re-vamp is done I’ll be focussing on the massive task of re-building the Gallery. So there’s lots to come here at Glamour Reese
Actress Reese Witherspoon says her “Legally Blonde” character Elle Woods has been ousted as the most stylish woman to come to the nation’s capital by first lady Michelle Obama.
Speaking Wednesday at a ceremony where Mrs. Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton presented the annual International Women of Courage awards, Witherspoon jokingly complained that Woods, the bubbly blonde from Los Angeles who discovers her inner strength at Harvard Law School and then takes on Washington politics, no longer held that title.
“As an actress, I have always sought out roles that portrayed women as strong and powerful, such as Elle Woods, who was in the ‘Legally Blonde’ movies,” she said to laughter from the audience in an ornate State Department reception room.
Woods, she said, “happened to be the biggest fashionista who ever came to Washington until Michelle Obama. Thanks a lot.”
Clinton then introduced Mrs. Obama as “stylish,” and the first lady returned the compliment to the entire crowd, saying: “You all look fabulous.”
Witherspoon was at the ceremony as a global ambassador for the Avon Foundation, which supports breast cancer research, anti-domestic violence programs and women’s empowerment projects. On Wednesday the group announced a $500,000 contribution to the State Department’s Fund for Global Women’s Leadership.
