Reese is currently in Rome, Italy to promote Rendition alongside director Gavin Hood and co-star Jake Gyllenhaal. They attended the press conference just a few moments ago and she looks super cute! I’ve added the first images for your viewing pleasure. Read on for a reportage on what Reese, Jake and Gavin had to say about the film.

Hailing from a country where an apartheid-era state death squad operated under the name Civil Co-operation Bureau, South African film maker Gavin Hood strips away at another sinister euphemism in his latest movie Rendition.

Speaking at a news conference at the Rome Film Festival where the film screened Sunday, Hood said: “Extraordinary renditions, enhanced interrogation – these are just fancy words. We wanted to put a human face to these abstract ideas.”

I have added 4 videos of Reese from the October 10th premiere of Rendition, these are from various entertainment segments and other sources. In the E! News clip, Reese is super cute as always talking about possibly being a bee for Halloween. And in the long red carpet interview Ms Witherspoon confirms that Four Christmases is indeed her next project, which she starts filming in December! Ms Witherspoon attended the Los Angeles premiere of Rendition yesterday. She looks as gorgeous as ever in a black strapless Nina Ricci dress and nude peep-toes. I especially love the earrings, which perfectly emphasize Reese stunning blue eyes! Check out the 54 first pics in the gallery.

At Wednesday’s Rendition premiere, Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal offered no clues as to their current status: Friends? Lovers? Former either?

The two did not share eye contact on the red carpet and came together only briefly at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences theater to flank their director, Gavin Hood, for a quick photo before once again going their separate ways.

Rendition will be presented out of competition at the Rome Film Festival in Italy on October 21, 2007. Reese herself is expected to be in attendance. Please refer to the fest’s website for further details.

Ms. Witherspoon looked like a true movie star at the Toronto Film Festival Rendition premiere. She wore a stunning black number and had her hair on soft waves. It may be one of my personal favorite Reese looks of all time!

Even Witherspoon, normally the most spirited of performers who can inject even limited characters and blah scripts with her own spark, can do little but mope around and search for different ways to look worried. A limited acting exercise, to say the least.
