The 2008 Teen Choice Awards nominations have been announced and Miss Reese has gotten a nod for Choice Movie Actress: Drama for Rendition! Jake Gyllenhaal also got a nod for the film, for Choice Movie Actor: Drama.
Voting is now open at the Teen Choice website for fans ages 13-19. So be sure to cast your vote(s) for Reese! Miley Cyrus is set to host the event that will air on Fox on August 4th, 2008.
Rendition was released on Region 1 DVD last week, be sure to get yourself a copy. Although Reese’s role is smaller compared to other films, she is fantastic as always and I’m sure all fans will appreciate her performance none the less. Now that I have gotten my copy, I have made DVD Screencaps of the film and features.

Reese Witherspoon has a bone to pick — the Oscar-winner is sick of being known as Hollywood’s most obsessively organised actor.
The 31-year-old says she often regrets giving her film company the name Type A Productions — a tongue-in-cheek choice the self-confessed perfectionist made many moons ago.
“People immediately assume that I have a very controlling personality,” Witherspoon says with a sigh.
“It’s up for interpretation that term — Type A — and to me it was just about getting things done and being diligent about them happening, which didn’t seem very negative, but sometimes people think of it as a very uptight personality trait.
“I’m just much more easygoing than that — I go with the flow.”

I came across some previously unseen Rendition production stills. I am glad that they’re releasing pictures to promote the DVD release: we only had seven of Reese before! Just a friendly reminder that the DVD will be out in a few weeks time – February 19, to be exact.

On February 19, 2008, Warner Home Video will release Rendition on DVD. The film revolves around the United States’ recent liking to extraordinary renditions of innocent people, and features an all-star cast, including Meryl Streep, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Reese Witherspoon. It will surely contain bonus materials and extra features, although none have currently been announced and will be available for the MSRP (Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price) of $28.98. Box art is currently unavailable.

I’ve added screencaptures from Reese’s The Ellen DeGeneres Show appearance, which aired yesterday. It was such a fun interview, Reese being her giggly and bouncy self, bringing Ellen treats once again and the talk show host returning the favor. Reese discussed Rendition, Halloween (and showed a pic of her in last year’s awesome costume!) and her work with Children’s Defense Fund. Apologies for the low quality of the caps but I wanted to get them up as soon as possible. Hopefully we’ll have better ones to replace with later.
I also added screencaps from last week’s The Today Show. I’ll try my best to add videos from both appearances tonight. Sorry about the delay, I’ve simply been insanely busy with university this week!
And last but not least, Rendition is currently #3 in the UK box office! Yay! It seems to be doing really well here. The showing that I went to was fully booked and I personally thought the film was pretty good. So don’t believe the negative reviews and go and see Rendition yourself! Reese does a great job!
Dressed in a wine red short number, Reese Witherspoon stole the spotlight at the Rendition premiere in Rome. 21 first pictures have been added from today’s event.
Reese is currently in Rome, Italy to promote Rendition alongside director Gavin Hood and co-star Jake Gyllenhaal. They attended the press conference just a few moments ago and she looks super cute! I’ve added the first images for your viewing pleasure. Read on for a reportage on what Reese, Jake and Gavin had to say about the film.
Hailing from a country where an apartheid-era state death squad operated under the name Civil Co-operation Bureau, South African film maker Gavin Hood strips away at another sinister euphemism in his latest movie Rendition.
Speaking at a news conference at the Rome Film Festival where the film screened Sunday, Hood said: “Extraordinary renditions, enhanced interrogation – these are just fancy words. We wanted to put a human face to these abstract ideas.”

Actress’s all-American appeal helps film get message across, director says
Before her latest film, if anyone had asked Reese Witherspoon what the term “extraordinary rendition” meant, she might have answered with a blank stare.
The words could be bureaucratese for something as innocuous as a tax deduction. But as Witherspoon’s Rendition spells out darkly and melodramatically, the term actually stands for a U.S. government practice of transferring terrorism suspects to other countries, where their interrogations could subject them to abuse and torture.
“I don’t think I realized what the term was called,” Witherspoon told The Associated Press at September’s Toronto International Film Festival, where Rendition played in advance of its theatrical release Friday. “The term is not really in the popular vernacular.
“It sounds like public-policy rigmarole. It doesn’t sound like anything that you would connect with the torture and detainment of innocent people.”
