The other day I had started Step 1 of the major overhaul to Glamour Reese Witherspoon. I spent some time going through e-mails and sorting all the contributions, affiliate requests and other things that have been piling up. And I got nearly all the pending pictures added as well as transferring all the 2005 & 2006 photoshoots (including some minor additions and replacements) and all the 2006 magazine scans from the old gallery to the new one. Check out everything here. Be sure you register / log in to see everything!
Now on to some site announcements. R-Witherspoon.com, ReeseWitherspoonForum.com and Reese-Pics.com are going to be moving servers and will likely not be updated for a week or two until the move is complete. We will be back and with some big changes very soon. Including: New designs, more gallery transfers & additions, content updates and more. Be sure to stay tuned!
Also, Reese’s Vogue cover will debut sometime next week!

Miss Reese will be on the cover of the November issue of Vogue! Some of you might know Reese was photographed earlier this year in July in Paris, France for this shoot. I decided to go ahead and add the on set pictures from then now. I really can’t wait to see this one, it looks to be stunning!

- Photoshoots: On Set Vogue (2008)
As earlier reported Reese was in Brazil yesterday as the Avon Global Ambassador. The event was “Speak Out Against Domestic Violence,” a joint campaign launched in 2004 by the UN Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM) and the Avon cosmetics company. She looked ultra pretty in a classy navy dress, hoop earrings and blue heels. The event was held at the World Trade Center hotel in Sao Paulo and lasted one hour, Reese highlighted the campaign’s aims in Latin America, including the sale of bracelets which is financing the charity. She flew back to the United States yesterday shortly after arriving on Wednesday. I’d like to thank Marcela for many picture contributions and translations!

“One woman in three in the world is affected by domestic violence. There isn’t a woman in the world that doesn’t have a friend or a partner who’s actually experiencing some sort of violence against them, so I think although domestic violence hasn’t happened to me personally, I certainly know women who are dealing with this struggle every day.” – Reese Witherspoon
In a symbolic gesture, she gave one of the bracelets to Maria da Penha Maia Fernandes, a Brazilian woman who has come to represent domestic violence in her home country after she was left a paraplegic by her violent husband.
After a 20-year legal battle, Brazil in 2006 named a law after Maia Fernandes that recognizes domestic violence against women as a human rights violation, and extends a number of preventive and punitive measures as well as assistance.
According to UNIFEM, one Brazilian woman in five suffers violence at the hands of a man, and there were an estimated 2.1 million women in the country who each year are victims of domestic violence.
Domestic violence, Witherspoon said, “affects women who are famous, who are not famous, women who have money, women who have no money. This is an issue that crosses all boundaries and it certainly affects everyone.”

And by the end of the day, she is beginning to wonder if their crazy families’ choices are not so crazy after all.

Reese Witherspoon, Vince Vaughn
This holiday romp — starring Witherspoon and Vaughn as a couple obliged to celebrate Christmas with each of their divorced parents — is Reese’s first romcom since 2005′s Just Like Heaven. And in case having her back in high spirits isn’t gift enough, the movie also marks the feature-directing debut of Seth Gordon, who made last year’s terrific The King of Kong.

Today I have added some gorgeous never before seen Avon ads to the gallery. These are from various brochures for the company. My personal favorite, has to be the U For Her perfume ad, Reese looks absolutely stunning in it! I’d like to thank Jane for her additions to this update. Remember if you happen to spot new ads please send them in! I’ve only just learned you have to actually know a representative (which I do not) in order to sign up for the catalogue, so coming across new print ads could be difficult (although hopefully not impossible!) for me. Not to mention all us fans would love to see the promotion in various countries.

What a fun surprise! Reese Witherspoon attended a new event yesterday in Beverly Hills – the 2nd Annual Kidstock Music And Art Festival – and she’s sporting a brand new hairdo! It reminds me a little bit of her Sweet Home Alabama look. Very cute!
