I’ve updated the This Means War Promotion section on our sidebar, to include links to all the recent photos, as well as a list of the upcoming appearances Reese will be making (yes, still!) to promote the movie worldwide. Unless I heard wrong, I think Reese said in her recent iVillage live chat that she would be going to Brazil, Mexico City and Germany in March to promote the movie before it’s release in each of those countries.
So we have lots of new photos to look forward to still!
Reese is listed to be appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show tomorrow, Friday February 17th, so US fans, check your local listings for times, and tune in!
The official Ellen site has posted a preview video of tomorrow’s show, but the only footage it shows of Reese is from her appearance last year.
Make sure you head on over to iVillage now to watch Reese in her live web chat!! You can ask Reese a question there, through Twitter with the #askreese hashtag, or through Facebook.
The March issue of Empire magazine has a feature on This Means War, with a very funny interview and a nice full page promotional photo. I found some scans on this tumblr, and have added them to our Gallery.
I’ve also added another picture from the cast promotional photoshoot for the film!
• Empire (UK) – March 2012 x4
• This Means War > Promotional Photoshoot x4
As I was expecting, Reese is now lined up for several more TV appearances in the US in the next couple of weeks, as part of her This Means War promotion. The list is below, and the full list of appearances can be seen on our sidebar.
Monday 13th February – David Letterman
Tuesday 14th February – Conan
Wednesday 15th February – Chelsea Lately
Reese’s new UK Glamour magazine cover hits newsstands today, and to promote the occassion, some photos and quotes from the spread have been posted online! Below are the quotes released, and you can find the photos in our Gallery – Reese looks absolutely beautiful!
Also, I posted a few days ago about Reese being in UK Vogue, but I was wrong!! The photo is actually from her UK Glamour spread. Too bad we won’t be treated to a separate spread in Vogue
“Once I turned 35 I felt so much better but the anticipation leading up to it was miserable. It was less, ‘How do I look?’ and more, ‘What do I want to accomplish in life? Is this the career I love? Is this the legacy I want to leave for my kids?'”
“A lot of women who go through different things – like going through a divorce or whatever – talk to me and I always say, ‘You’re going to get through this. I know that sounds simple, but you really are. You’re going to be a different person, but you’ll be a better person.’ You have to look at all sides of everything – really look at your own behaviour. And be clear about the sort of person you want to be. And write it all down. I wish I’d written down more. All these life experiences. The good and the bad – all those feelings,”
“I’m not for it. I’m not against it. I have plenty of friends who do stuff and if it makes you feel good, great. But I don’t think it’s the fix for some sort of unease that you’re having about who you are as a human being. I don’t think I need plastic surgery at this point. Can we just go day-by-day on that one?”
The mother-of-two revealed she works out for an hour five days a week, doing yoga, spinning or running and admitted she has adjusted her diet to keep in shape.
Reese said: “”I don’t worry about it. I have the body I earned. I had two kids and I’m still strong and healthy.
“And you start to have a different respect for your body the older you get. Instead of tearing yourself apart all the time, you start to go ‘Oh wow’.”
“I have this fixation about this black leather The Row purse, but it’s so prohibitively expensive, I will not allow myself to buy it. I literally go to the store to visit it. Too much money – it feels decadent. I can’t wrap my brain around it. If I bought it, I’d only feel upset about it and take it back.”
As part of her US promotional tour for This Means War, Reese will be appearing on Live With Kelly on Monday February 13th. Check your local listings for times.
We’ll do our best to bring you the video and screencaptures asap after the show has aired!
As well as the cover of UK Glamour, Reese will also grace the pages of UK Vogue in their March issue! The new photoshoot looks to be quite classic and playful … based on the preview picture I’m posting below!!
Be sure I’ll post more info on this spread as soon as I find anything out…
EDITED on February 2nd: I was wrong! This photo is actually from Reese’s UK Glamour photoshoot.
Reese graces the cover of the March issue of UK Glamour magazine, looking super pretty in an all-new photoshoot! Thanks to tweeter tetcutiepie we have a preview of the cover. I’ll post more photos and info/quotes from the editorial as soon as they are released. I expect more details will be released in the next few days before the magazine hits newsstands at the beginning of February.
Reese will be a guest on The Graham Norton Show next Friday (February 3rd)! The Graham Norton Show airs on BBC1 in the UK on Friday nights at 10:35pm. Tune in if you can! I will do my best to post a video here for you asap after the show airs.
Episode 13 of 23, Series 10
Duration: 45 minutes
Among the guests on Graham’s sofa are Oscar-winning actress Reese Witherspoon, who discusses her new film This Means War; comedian Reginald D Hunter; and Doctor Who and Upstairs Downstairs star, Alex Kingston. Plus there is music from indie band the Musgraves.
Reese Witherspoon will sit down with MTV News for an exclusive interview and premiere of a previously unseen clip from her upcoming film “This Means War.” The special, “MTV First: Reese Witherspoon,” will air on January 31 at 7:56 p.m. ET on MTV.
Following the on-air segment, Academy Award winner Witherspoon will stay for an additional 30-minute interview on MTV.com with MTV News’ Josh Horowitz. Fans can be a part of the action right away by submitting video or text questions starting Monday (January 23) on MTV.com or via Twitter by using the @MTVNews hashtag #MTVFirst.
Witherspoon stars in the McG-directed comedy-action film as a seductive female dating two of the world’s deadliest CIA operatives (played by Chris Pine and Tom Hardy) whose partnership and friendship is put in jeopardy when they begin to battle for her affections. Instead of ‘fessing up to her about the love triangle, they try to settle the matter using all the weapons at their disposal.
The film also stars one of Witherspoon’s real-life pals, comedian and “Chelsea Lately” host Chelsea Handler, who gives Reese’s character the terrible advice that she should continue dating both men.
After positive word-of-mouth during test screenings, Twentieth Century Fox pushed the movie’s release date up by three days to Valentine’s Day (February 14). “After all,” said director McG, “everyone needs a little action on Valentine’s Day.”
Reese will appear on her friend and co-star Chelsea Lately’s show on January 22nd, presumably as part of promotion for This Means War:
Additionally, it was confirmed that Oscar winner Reese Witherspoon will appear on the post-late night show on January 22.
