There is another stunning image of Reese in the April issue of Elle on their site.
Also here is a little write up talk about the cover shoot.
Reese Witherspoon arrived at L.A.’s Smashbox Studio wearing a sunny ensemble of boyfriend jeans from RRL, a creamcolor henley, and beaded gladiator sandals from Sigerson Morrison. The Elle team presented racks of airy, clean-cut classics, including a beige Rodarte gown the star vowed to wear at her next red carpet engagement. The mother of two swayed to a mixture of the White Stripes and Maroon 5 (her own iPod), while photographer Carter Smith snapped her in a sharp Calvin Klein blazer and skinny trousers. When boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal made a surprise visit to the set, the couple embraced, and as Witherspoon’s mix turned to a Jack Johnson tune, the two dropped everything and started slow dancing. Do we hear wedding bells?
Reese takes the April cover of Elle magazine! And let me say I think the cover and inside picture of Reese already released are some of her best ever; wow!
An Oscar, a divorce, and a guy named Jake have made Reese Witherspoon larger-than-life
On her divorce: “Very humiliating and very isolating…But, by the way, if it’s not painful, maybe it wasn’t the right decision to marry to begin with. Those are the appropriate emotions. When people get in your face and say, ‘This will pass,’ you think, Are they crazy? I’m never gonna feel any better than I feel right this minute and nothing’s ever gonna make sense again. And I still have moments where I’m like, Nothings ever gonna make sense again.”
On dealing with the pain that stems from divorce: “You see a lot of people play this blame game. Blame, blame, blame. You know? And it’s a really easy thing to do, and I’m certainly guilty of it. [You have to] look at yourself and go, ‘What part of this do I need to own? Which part of this is my responsibility? And that’s the painful work that you have to go through to hopefully get some real life knowledge out of it.”
On boyfriend, Jake Gyllenhaal: “He’s fabulous. He really is a fantastic guy. Unfortunately, he’s not in the movie, so we can’t really talk about him.”
This year’s Kids’ Choice star-studded lineup includes host Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Zac Efron, Hugh Jackman, Robert Pattinson, Amy Adams, Amy Poehler, Reese Witherspoon, and Nickelodeon stars Miranda Cosgrove and Nat and Alex Wolff.
The show will be on Saturday, March 28, from 8:00PM to 9:30 PM. Coverage begins at 7 p.m. (ET) with an exclusive one-hour live pre-show webcast from the Orange Carpet. Also, webcams will offer multiple views of the event, giving kids control of what they want to see.
Reese is also nominated for Favorite Female Movie Star. Online voting begins March 2, here.
Favorite Female Movie Star
Jennifer Aniston (Marley & Me)
Anne Hathaway (Get Smart)
Vanessa Hudgens (High School Musical 3: Senior Year)
Reese Witherspoon (Four Christmases)
She might be an Oscar-winning actress but to her two kids, Reese Witherspoon is sometimes, well, just embarrassing, she says in a new interview.
To illustrate her point, the actress tells the story to Parents magazine of taking her 9-year-old daughter Ava to see country star Carrie Underwood.
“She said, ‘Mom I really appreciate you taking me to the concert, but will you please not embarrass me in front of Carrie Underwood by singing because she’s a real singer and you’re just, like a movie singer,” says Witherspoon, who won a Best Actress Oscar for playing singer June Carter Cash in 2005′s Walk the Line.
Reese is inside Redbook magazine’s March 2009 issue. Here is a some of the article via their website.
Reese Witherspoon on Movies and Motherhood The manners and morals of a movie-star mom
I’m not a super-strict parent, but I think it’s important to have rules for children. It gives them a sense of structure — and that’s what we are all seeking. We just want to know when we’ve done something right or wrong. That’s what I’m trying to teach my own children [Ava, nine, and Deacon, five].
I grew up in Nashville, Tennessee, and my parents taught me to respect my elders. We’d say things like “yes, ma’am” and “no, sir” to adults. But kids in Los Angeles don’t do that. I’ve drawn the line at my children calling adults by their first names. I tell them they can call people “Miss Shannon” or “Miss Heather” but that using only the first name is too familiar. Maybe I’m just old-fashioned.
As stated earlier, Reese jetted to London during the Thanksgiving Holiday to do some promos for Four Christmases, even more fabulous interviews have come up and here they are, in addition to a behind the scenes featurette from the film. I will add screencaptures of everything when I’m feeling better, right now I have a sucky flu.
Also according to visitor Elenor, Reese was on The Graham Norton Show Thursday. Online you can see what seems to be the video but it’s for UK residents only. If someone has this video or can obtain it for the other fans please send it in!
Reese was just on Good Morning America. I have added caps from the interview and the clip may be streamed after the cut.
The showed some new scenes from Four Christmases, and Reese laughed it up as she discussed filming with Vince Vaughn. She also discussed how she’ll spend the holidays stating that lots of cooking and caroling is a staple for her family’s traditions. She said one of the reasons she wanted to take part in Christmases was because while she wasn’t a child of divorce her children are and wanted to see it from other’s eyes and about it. It was a good little interview and I’m sure you will enjoy it!
Yay! Reese is gonna be on some upcoming talk shows for Four Christmases! Can’t wait! Clips as always would be appreciated.
Monday 11/24 – Good Morning America
Monday 11/24 – Live with Regis & Kelly
Tuesday 11/25 – Late Show with David Letterman
Wednesday 11/26 – Jimmy Kimmel Live
Note: The list is constantly updating as I learn of more programs.
Reese is on the cover of the November 23 issue of Parade! Check out the cute photos of Ms. W and the fantastic article below. Reese talks mostly about family, her relationships and children.
“Do I need men? I don’t think it’s about needing men. It’s about love… Everybody needs love, Everyone deserves it.”
“Family is all we have in life, but I don’t know how I feel about marriage, Obviously, I’m not far enough out of being married to think about doing it again. You sort of reconstitute your family. You find a family, with people who come into your life for a reason.”
“It takes perseverance and determination for any young woman to navigate the movie business, It’s deeply offensive when they are objectified, treated like sex toys. It’s so easy to get attention early on in your career when you promote only the sexual side of yourself. It gains you popularity, but it doesn’t mean anything. Five years later, no one knows your name, and you wonder why.
Tonight is the CMA Awards, Reese has been confirmed as a presenter! Check back this evening for hopefully a lot of coverage!
And tonight also be sure to watch the Entertainment TonightFour Christmases report. The official film wesbite, www.fourchristmasesmovie.com has also been launched, there are some new stills of Reese and the desktop sections features a new image. Thanks to Lilly for the heads up!
Any clips from the shows are more than welcome, but I’ll do my best to try and get it as always. But no guarantees.
