Many fans have asked us where Reese is and what she is up to at the moment so I thought I’d write a little catch up. Four Christmases is currently in post-production and will be released in the US on November 26, 2008. Penelope is already available on DVD in many countries, including the UK, and will be released in the US on July 15 (as earlier reported). Reese has presumably finished recording her voice for for Monsters vs. Aliens. Besides her other voice role in The Bear and the Bow, we do not know what exactly she will take on next but I doubt she’ll film anything this summer. You may also have been new Avon commercials airing worldwide.
Currently Reese is reportedly living in Jake Gyllenhaal’s London home in Notting Hill as he films scenes from his new film, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.
One insider reveals: “Reese loves England and has been really looking forward to spending this time living with Jake.”
It sounds like Reese’s summer will be a fun and relaxing one!
The 2008 Teen Choice Awards nominations have been announced and Miss Reese has gotten a nod for Choice Movie Actress: Drama for Rendition! Jake Gyllenhaal also got a nod for the film, for Choice Movie Actor: Drama.
Voting is now open at the Teen Choice website for fans ages 13-19. So be sure to cast your vote(s) for Reese! Miley Cyrus is set to host the event that will air on Fox on August 4th, 2008.
Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe’s divorce was finalized Thursday, Los Angeles court records show, indicating that financial and custody settlements have been reached.
Details weren’t immediately available, however, the ex-couple have continually sought a shared custody arrangement over children Ava, 8, and Deacon, 4.
The documents, dated June 12, only read: “[The court finds] the parties have settled all their remaining issues in these proceedings.”

Reese Witherspoon is all set for a low-key Mother’s Day this weekend.
She’ll be lunching with her mom, Betty Reese, and kids, Ava, 8, and Deacon, 4. But as a paparazzi target, the Oscar winner knows she can’t count on a disruption-free holiday, even though she’s careful not to reveal a single specific detail about their plans — not even the state.
Despite that obvious drawback of fame, she still sees some pluses — and so do her kids. They have “always kind of known me to be who I was, and if people know Mom at the grocery store, I think they kind of like it,” says Witherspoon, 32. “Obviously, if you’re not having the greatest day, it’s not always easy, but for the most part, (fame) brings a lot of positive things into our life.”

The Avon Foundation announced that Reese Witherspoon will be a special guest at the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer in Washington, DC on Sunday, May 4, 2008, the second day of the weekend-long event. Witherspoon, the Avon Global Ambassador and Honorary Chair of the Avon Foundation, will spend time throughout the day with the thousands of Walk participants, including walkers, crew and volunteers, who are raising lifesaving funds and awareness to advance access to care and finding a cure for breast cancer. In addition to spending time with the Walk participants, Witherspoon will play a special role in the inspirational Closing Ceremony, during which new DC-area grants will be announced, and she will meet with local Avon Foundation-funded breast cancer organizations to learn firsthand the impact of the funds raised.
“We are thrilled to have Reese join us for the Avon Walk DC,” said Avon Foundation Executive Director Carol Kurzig. “During the past year, Reese has been a champion for the Avon Foundation’s commitment to women. Now she continues to lend her support to the Avon Foundation and to our Avon Walk participants in DC. We are excited that Reese will meet the women and men who are raising funds, and the researchers and organizations that are using those funds to save lives.” You can read more on the official site.
Are you a fan in the DC area? If so and you plan to participate in the walk and can take a few snapshots of the event, we’d love to post them on the site! Who knows you might even see/meet Reese!
Also another bit of news, I just caught her first commercial for Avon tonight it was from this day of filming. I will try to catch it and record, but obviously that really is just a game of luck as there is no way of knowing when it will air. Just a heads up that the ads are now airing in addition to print ads! The Avon catalog features Reese as well. I will do my best to get a subscription to this.
Slightly off-topic but there’s a very good interview with Ryan Phillippe over at Times Online that I thought some of you may be interested in. Here are some interesting quotes related to Reese and the children.
He readily admits, however, to having been unprepared for the degree of attention a high-profile romance brings. “I fooled myself into believing it would be easier than it was. To have people speculating constantly about the state of your relationship, casting aspersions and telling lies… It took more of a toll than I was immediately aware of. When you factor in being separated so much because you’re working in different places… Not that I blame our no longer being together on that one thing. I take responsibility and she [Witherspoon] would also for the way we ended up going. But it didn’t help.”
However, the attention has not abated since their parting, due largely to his own rising stock in the film capital. Phillippe regrets this for himself, but nowhere near as much as he does for his daughter. “She’s aware and it creates in her a lot of anxiety, which is partly my fault. When Ava was very young, I was young too. And brash. I’d get… I wouldn’t like to say violent, but visibly angry at the paparazzi back then. She was my first child, and my instinct was to protect her. I remember one time that I’m not at all proud of, I was holding my daughter and handed her to Reese and ran off to chase this one guy down and hit him. I would never do that now.
“I think the attitude I had at the time did create in her a lot of the fearfulness she has today.” His son Deacon is not affected in the same way. “Mainly because since his birth I’ve realised that you’ve got to make it seem like less of a big deal. Ava to this day, though… It breaks my heart to think about it, hearing her say, ‘My friends at school saw a picture of me in a magazine and they made fun ’cos I was carrying a blanket.’ A little girl having to consider how she looks before leaving the house? I have a privileged life and hate to complain but there’s something vile about that.”
This pretty much sums up why we do not post paparazzi photos on this site.
Reese Witherspoon turned 32 on March 22nd. On behalf of all of her fans, Glamour Reese Witherspoon extends it’s warmest wishes to Reese and hope she had a fantastic birthday amongst her loved ones!
Reese Witherspoon will voice Susan Murphy aka Ginormica in the upcoming Monsters vs. Aliens movie. Monsters vs. Aliens is directed by Rob Letterman (who directed Shark Tale) and Conrad Vernon (who directed Shrek 2), two very experienced DreamWorks team members. The film hits theaters on March 27, 2009.
Monsters vs. Aliens is a throwback to those B-movie glory days of the ’50s when Martians invaded our backyards and rubber monsters stalked the Earth.
But the DreamsWorks sci-fi spoof, landing March 27, 2009, also transforms a once-tacky Ike-era gimmick into an eye-popping 21st-century experience as the first computer-animated feature to be shot in 3-D.
Studios such as Disney have dimensionalized CGI films, but only after a non-3-D version was made.
DreamWorks, which will preview Monsters for ShoWest exhibitors in Las Vegas today, is commit- ted to doing all its animated releases directly in 3-D from now on. “This isn’t our father’s 3-D,” says the studio’s animation chief, Jeffrey Katzenberg. Though it still relies on funny glasses, “the digital projection puts a perfect image on the screen. There is no ghosting, no eye strain or nausea.”

Fantasy flick’s producer/co-star says Ricci had ‘no fear whatsoever’ about donning nose.
They’ve bonded over their shared rejections, the fact that they’re too short to ride motor scooters, and not being able to afford James McAvoy. So how did Reese Witherspoon and Christina Ricci become two of Hollywood’s biggest stars?

Reese Witherspoon’s Walk The Line Oscar in 2006 was the best of times, professionally, during her worst of times, personally, as she separated from, then divorced, Ryan Phillippe.
Not surprisingly, Witherspoon has mixed emotions about the nostalgia associated with Sunday night’s Academy Awards. Still, she says she’s thrilled about the emerging talents of best-actress nominee Ellen Page (Juno) and Oscar winner Marion Cotillard (La Vie en Rose).
The 31-year-old even manages to be polite, if a little caustic, when she’s asked where she keeps her own golden statue. “Well, I’ve considered making it into a door knocker or a necklace, but neither one of those options was very practical,” Witherspoon suggests. “So I just keep it in my living room.”
Nobody doubts the actress will one day have another one to keep her first trophy company. Indeed, she’s a rare commodity in the film industry: a likeable performer with artistic credibility and a sound box-office track record.
