After going through my emails I made a small Fun section update, with the following pages having new responses added to them: Caption This, Favourite Film, Favourite Character, and Why Do You Like Reese. Be sure to browse through our Fun section and send in your responses to any/all of the features if you have some spare minutes!
Also, please welcome our new sidebar Favourite Affiliates Amy Adams Fan and Ryan Reynolds Fan.
I am very excited to finally have online our brand new layout! This was made for us by Mycah, with a finishing touch by the lovely Lindsey, using Reese’s exceptionally gorgeous photos for last year’s UK Glamour magazine. This new design feels super classy and ethereal, and I think it’s a nice constrast to the fun pink Legally Blonde layout we had before. I could just stare at these photos for hours. Make sure you refresh the page and/or visit other pages within this site because the header image will change each time the page loads.
You may also notice a new mini special feature on the sidebar – 11 Of The Best. This is to celebrate Glamour Reese Witherspoon’s whopping 11 years online (as of November 2012), and highlights some of my favourite Reese moments from the past 11 years. It took me a long time to whittle it down to just 11
If you notice any errors then please let me know, but otherwise, please enjoy the new layout ^_^
After much hard work today, our Media section is now back up and running! I have re-added all pages, and added new media into them. New additions include AIM Icons, Bookmarks, Desktop Icons, Fan Signs, i-Backgrounds and Twitter backgrounds … pretty much every page in there. We also have some shiny new wallpapers kindly made and contributed to Glamour Reese by Larissa – thank you!
As I’ve mentioned before, our previous Fanarchive section was lost somewhere along the line when the site changed owners and hosts, so unfortunately all the media we housed in there was lost too. Which is such a shame, because I know it was packed full of your artwork!!
If anyone has any Reese media of any kind that they’d like to contribute and see displayed up here on Glamour Reese then please get in touch! We’d love to display your work, and would make sure you get a big fat credit for it
new Reese media of all shapes and sizes – click to browse!
Big thanks to our kind visitor Larissa for sending us some of her lovely banners and icons to use on this site! They have been added to their pages in the Media section. Our Media section needed a kick-start, so I am grateful to Larissa for helping out
Our entire media section was lost during the site’s change of owners/hosts a few years ago, so it is desperately in need of filling up again … if you’ve made any Reese media of any kind and would like to share it with us then please get in touch! We accept anything and everything
I’ve updated the This Means War Promotion section on our sidebar, to include links to all the recent photos, as well as a list of the upcoming appearances Reese will be making (yes, still!) to promote the movie worldwide. Unless I heard wrong, I think Reese said in her recent iVillage live chat that she would be going to Brazil, Mexico City and Germany in March to promote the movie before it’s release in each of those countries.
So we have lots of new photos to look forward to still!
Reese was featured in USA Weekend magazine last weekend, with a new photoshoot and interview! The interview focusses on the usual things, but it’s still a good read, and I particularly liked the focus on Reese being a mom. And the photoshoot is casual and colourful!
I’ve added the interview to our newly-started press page (more on that in the coming days) and for now you can find the link below. The photoshoot is in our Gallery.
“Who doesn’t dance around their living room singing?” the actress says with a girlish, machine-fun laugh. “Honestly, I do it all the time with my kids and they roll their eyes . I’m like, ‘C’mon, it’s a dance party!’ And they’re like, ‘No!’

As it’s January 1st already, I would like to take a second to wish all of our visitors and fellow Reese fans – as well as Reese herself – a very Happy New Year! I hope 2012 brings you lots of happiness and success.
2011 was a pretty special year for our Reese, as she walked down the aisle with Jim Toth in March. Professionally, she spent several weeks on a massive worldwide promotional tour for Water For Elephants, then began filming new movie Mud in Arkansas and doing re-shoots for This Means War. Glamour Reese Witherspoon site-wise, we underwent a make-over with a new tribute layout to Legally Blonde to celebrate the iconic movie’s 10 year anniversary. Glamour Reese Witherspoon also reached 10 years online … a fact that will be celebrated a bit late but soon, due to my poor memory and busy offline life! Thank you for visiting and supporting GRW in 2011 – we hope you enjoyed your visit this year, but we promise you more of the same and better in 2012, all in honour of the loveable Reese and her loyal fans!
Whilst continuing to sort the new event photos, I was going through my computer to see what else I had ready to upload for you, and I came across a batch of icons made for us! Big thanks to Maria and Gel for making and contributing these gorgeous icons to GRW. Check them out on our Icons page:
“None of this would have happened if Mr. McAllister hadn’t meddled the way he did. He should have just accepted things as they are instead of trying to interfere with destiny. You see, you can’t interfere with destiny. That’s why it’s destiny. And if you try to interfere, the same thing’s going to happen anyway, and you’ll just suffer.”
Many Reese fans will recognise those sharp words as spoken from the mouth of the oh-so-slightly determined and ambitious Tracy Flick, one of the protagonists in Election, and today I have added over 1,000 screencaps from that film! We also have caps from the DVD Menu’s, but sadly my DVD does not have any extras. To say Reese is brilliant in this film is an understatement … she gives an incredible and hilarious tour-de-force performance as the driven high school student. The film itself is so smart and well written, it’s a real gem. Definitely one of my all-time favourite Reese performances and movies.
I capped it whilst listening to director Alexander Payne’s commentary, and so updated the Trivia on our Election filmography page along the way. Obviously that page is still a work in progress but there’s some interesting tidbits there to start you off with.
Post a comment/send me a tweet/email if you want to see caps from a particular movie re-added next!

As I’ve posted about before, I’m slowly working on updating the site’s content, converting it to a new format and adding new stuff. I’ll soon be onto the Media section, and I really need your help here – the Media section is empty! A few years ago, we had a fantastic FanArchive packed full of your wonderful media creations, but somewhere along the line that all got lost and we are left with nothing. So if any of our lovely visitors have made any kind of Reese fanart, and would like to share it with us and see it displayed here on Glamour Reese, then please get in touch!
You can see the basic types of fanart/media we’re after on our Media section index page – icons, wallpapers, fanart/blends, banners, bookmarks etc. – but if you’ve made something that isn’t listed there then we’d love that too. We’ll be really grateful for all contributions, and you will of course receive credit. No fanart is ‘ugly’ in our eyes (it’s of Reese, how can it be!?) so don’t be shy!
Thanks to those of you that consider helping us out
“And last week I saw Cameron Diaz at Fred Segal, and I talked her out of buying this truly heinous angora sweater. Whoever said orange was the new pink was seriously disturbed.”
Elle Woods is right, there’s no beating pink, and so we are celebrating her with her favourite colour in our new layout here at Glamour Reese Witherspoon! It’s been 10 years (can you believe it!!?) since our favourite blonde lawyer lit up our screens in Legally Blonde, released exactly 10 years ago this past Friday. The character has become somewhat iconic in modern cinema, and the film catapulted Miss Witherspoon right onto Hollywood’s A-List, and she’s been at the top of that list ever since. It also gained her a legion of new fans, including many of you reading this, I expect. It seemed fitting to celebrate the anniversary of the film with a super-fun themed layout here, and I think Mycah did Elle justice. Make sure you scroll down to the bottom of the page for more Elle!
Not only does Legally Blonde celebrate 10 years this year, but so does this very site you are looking at. Yep, Glamour Reese Witherspoon was created by our lovely friend April all the way back in 2001. I think it goes without saying what an incredible job she did building this site up and creating an online haven for Reese fans to enjoy, and I know it inspired me to start my own fansites. GRW has always heightened my love for Reese, so I wanted to mark that, too, with this special layout. But more on the site’s anniversary later in the year (I think it started in November, to be exact).
Enjoy the new layout – comment on it if you wish! – and check back throughout the coming week for as many updates as I can fit in, including content, photos and scans.
Elle: Here it is!
Professor Callahan: It’s pink…
Elle: Oh! And it’s scented! I think it gives it a little something extra, don’t you think? Ok, well, see you next class!
Today I have added over 50 super pretty icons made by my friend Melanie. They are mainly from Cruel Intentions … a movie which you can never go wrong with Thanks to Melanie for making us these icons.
Now I have a little plea for you – unfortunately, the site’s previous Fan Archive, which contained over 700 pieces of media created by you guys, was lost somewhere down the line due to a virus. Neither of the previous owners have backups of it so sadly everything has been lost. So I’m looking to you to help re-build it! If you would like to contribute any kind of fanart (icons, wallpapers, banners, blends, graphics etc.) then please do not hesitate to get in touch! I’d love to display your work, and full credit will always be given to you. Thanks!
