Well 2009 is now upon us! We want to wish everyone a very Happy New Year and good luck at keeping to all your new years resolutions!

Best News: Reese return to CMAs – it was fun to see her back at a really big event! She also seemed to have so much fun! All of Reese’s admirable charity work with Avon, the revelation that she wants to direct [view entry] and that Reese seems to have found herself in a happy relationship with Jake Gyllenhaal.
Worst News: The never ending film rumors! What makes this so terrible is some sound really good like Nice.

Glamour Reese Witherspoon will likely not be updated until early January – unless there will be major news to post. We will not be coming online much and will be unable to reply to any emails or approve comments until January. But stay tuned! Our end of the year wrap up will be coming later this week.
Happy holidays, Merry Christmas and fabulous New Year 2009 to all of our visitors! We really love working on the site and appreciate your support a lot. We can’t wait to see what 2009 will bring to Reese – and you can be sure that we’ll be here to cover it every step of the way. 
Today I did a revamp of the forum. This includes a new look, some new avatars and general read through of all boards for spam and things. For a view list of the new things see here. Remember you need to log in/register to post. 
On a side note, I have updated the sidebar with all the new dates and upcoming events.
Thanks to Mariana we have more information about Mont Blanc with a proper print ad scan.
Mont Blanc, in addition to selling their luxury products has a social work program. Reese is collaborating with Mont Blanc and UNICEF for children education programs.

Also, although this is not related to Reese, I wanted to take a moment to promote my new site for actress Kristen Stewart. She is known from her work in Into the Wild, In the Land of Women and Twilight, among others. Hop on over to www.kristenstewartweb.com to learn more about her!
As most regular visitors have probably noticed, Glamour Reese Witherspoon is under going some changes.
Recently we’ve moved servers. We did have a few complications, but I believe we’re stable once more! Some things I want to mention: The video archive and old gallery are temporarily closed. The old gallery’s files are currently being revamped and integrated into Reese-Pics.com. While the videos are being revamped as well into a new streaming media archive. I’m very excited about these changes and hope you will stick with us while they are underway! I’ll still post any news/new pictures (Vogue images coming up!) if they appear. But older updates are temporarily halted while I work behind the scenes. I already have new layouts ready too. Be sure to check back!
Last but not least, The Forum was also down this week. We thought we’d lost it for a second but due to hard work from one of our amazing Mods we managed to save it! So be sure to begin posting once more.
PS: If anyone is able to save the two previous videos I posted (ET & Vogue diaries) please send them in. I would like to screencap them.
The other day I had started Step 1 of the major overhaul to Glamour Reese Witherspoon. I spent some time going through e-mails and sorting all the contributions, affiliate requests and other things that have been piling up. And I got nearly all the pending pictures added as well as transferring all the 2005 & 2006 photoshoots (including some minor additions and replacements) and all the 2006 magazine scans from the old gallery to the new one. Now on to some site announcements. R-Witherspoon.com, ReeseWitherspoonForum.com and Reese-Pics.com are going to be moving servers and will likely not be updated for a week or two until the move is complete. We will be back and with some big changes very soon. Including: New designs, more gallery transfers & additions, content updates and more. Be sure to stay tuned!
Also, Reese’s Vogue cover will debut sometime next week!

I regret to announce that I have decided to leave the staff of Glamour Reese Witherspoon. Before anyone freaks out, let me just say that Mycah will continue the site as it is – GRW is not closing down! It is only me who is stepping down. The site is not going anywhere. Mycah has been without internet connection for a few months but will be back with updates soon.
I have been a fan of Reese for over a decade and running the site since 2005 so this is not a decision that I came to lightly. In fact, I have been thinking about it for a good while. While I still adore Reese Witherspoon and will continue to follow her career, perhaps occasionally report news here and stop by at the forum, I do not have the motivation to continue running the site. I suppose this mainly sources from the fact that Reese has been acting in movies very little lately. While I sincerely respect the fact that she prefers to spend time with her family, out of the spotlight, it is not super-motivating for me to continue running the site. I know that we have Four Christmases to look forward to but I am personally not very much into romcoms and I would prefer to see Reese work on something more substancial and challenging a la Walk the Line.
Who knows, I may very well be back in the future if things change but for now, I feel I am not doing justice on the site when I have so little motivation – and time – to update.

Unfortunately I did not get Reese’s appearance on Live with Regis & Kelly this morning. It seems my recorder didn’t even record *shakes fist* so if anyone out there managed to get it please consider sending it in so us fans can see and so we may cap it. So sorry guys :/
