Back to the missing October/November events, and today I have added over 120 photos from the Elle Women In Hollywood Tribute that Reese attended a few weeks ago. She was there to present her friend and Friends co-star Jennifer Aniston with one of the Elle awards on the night. Reese looked smart in a Bocanegra trouser suit with a Maje camisole and Christian Louboutin shoes, and accessorised with a Lambertson Truex clutch and Irene Neuwirth earrings that added a splash of colour to her outfit. During the event, Reese was snapped greeting Jennifer backstage, and chatting with Jennifer’s boyfriend, Justin Theroux, their friend Chelsea Handler, and Camila Alves.
Photos are in our Gallery now, and further down this post you will find videos and articles from the event.
A new official video featuring a compilation of various footage of Reese working for Avon was posted on YouTube recently, to promote last month’s Breast Cancer Awareness month.
Breast Cancer Awareness Month is a time of education, support and empowerment for breast cancer survivors, those battling the disease, and family members and friends who have been touched by breast cancer. Reese Witherspoon, Honorary Chairman of the Avon Foundation for Women, is partnering with the Avon Foundation to encourage everyone to get involved in the cause and make a difference in the fight against breast cancer.
Continuing the October/November event catch-up, we now have photos from the New York Avon Walk For Breast Cancer that Reese attended last month. Reese walked, talked and posed at the event, and looked casual and comfy in a black Avon t-shirt and black trousers.
I’ve already posted a couple of articles/videos that came from this Walk, but further down this post are a few more. I love hearing/reading Reese talk about her work for Avon, as she’s obviously really passionate about it and it means a lot to her.
Reese has recently been announced as the new face of European fashion chain Lindex! She will front their new ‘California Denim’ Autumn campaign and will be seen in adverts online, as well as outdoor billboards, TV and newspaper advertisements. Reese was chosen for this campaign because she is “positive, warm and full of energy” and suits the “relaxed style with Hollywood glamour” feel of the campaign.
HQ pictures from the campaign photoshoot and the set of the shoot, plus screencaps from the behind the scenes video have been added to our Gallery. Further down this post you can read information about Lindex, plus the press release that announced Reese’s involvement. There is also a behind the scenes video with cute footage from the shoot and snippets of interview with Reese.
More catching up, and last month Reese resumed her Avon duties by accompanying Avon CEO Andrea Jung to Eastern Europe as part of the 16-date Avon Believe World Tour. In Warsaw, Poland, and Moscow, Russia, Reese and Andrea presented two local domestic violence organisations with a $60,000 grant each, and in Moscow Reese also took part in a press conference and posed for photos wearing the Avon Empowerment bracelet. Reese looked gorgeous, it’s great seeing her take part in these events and you can see how much it means to her.
Further down this post is the official press release for these two stops on the tour, giving you more information on the organisations they gave the grant to plus a quote from Reese about it. There’s also an official video from the event, with footage and interviews with Reese.
Photos – including HQ versions you won’t find elsewhere – from the two stops have been added to the Gallery, along with screencaps from the official video!
As posted about last night, our classy and talented Reese was honoured with the Generation Award at the MTV Movie Awards last night! I will start adding photos asap. Unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be a full video of her speech, but below is a link to a short – but memorable – clip of it, embedding of which has unfortunately been disabled, so you’ll have to click the link to watch it. Embedded below that here though, is another short clip, of Robert Pattinson talking about Reese during the introduction to her award. Plus there’s a video of her talking backstage.
To start off our photo updates from this event, we have over 280 fabulous screencaps of Reese on stage, made for us by Jessica.
What a fantastic tribute to Reese. I haven’t seen the actual, full, presentation yet, but just seeing these caps reminds me of so many great moments in her career. And I think it’s very impressive of her to use this opportunity to remind younger fans how you can get somewhere being classy and having manners! Reese is such an admirable inspiration.
Reese will be attending the MTV Movie Awards tonight, where she will receive the Generation award – how exciting!! We’ll be bringing you coverage tomorrow, but tonight you can watch a live stream from the red carpet below … if you’re in the US. If you’re not in the US, then you’re out of luck unfortunately, thanks to MTV’s “country restrictions”.
You can get exclusive coverage of the event through various MTV apps. And, if you’re in the US, you can tune into your TV and watch the show on MTV at 9PM EST.
Wow, slashfilm.com have posted a real treat for us Reese fans! They’ve found the original ending to Reese’s 1999 movie Election, a real classic Reese movie and a fan favourite!
The YouTube video description gives us more details:
In this never-before-seen ending, Mr. McAllister does not move to NYC, but instead becomes a car salesman and Tracy visits him before leaving for college.
This scene is from the ‘working print’ of the film – it was found on an unlabeled VHS tape at a local flea market. It was NOT included on the DVD!
Watch the video below, and head on over to slashfilm.com for their commentary on the ending.
