She’s been married to Ryan Phillippe, had a long term relationship with Jake Gyllenhaal, and now she’s with Hollywood agent Jim Toth. Reese Witherspoon reveals to ET how she gauges who is right for her relationship-wise.
“I’m old enough to know that I don’t know anything about love or relationships,” she disclosed. “I just try to go with my instincts and advise other people to do the same.”
The ‘How Do You Know’ star did admit that she has a way of determining whether her relationships are going to work out. “My friends are a barometer for my relationships,” she told ET. “I kind of look at them to reflect to me how I seem.”
In her upcoming movie written by Oscar winner James L. Brooks, Reese plays Lisa who is caught in a laughable love triangle. Lisa faces a difficult transition in her life, and jumps into a relationship with the self-centered Matty (played by Owen Wilson). Then she meets George (played by Paul Rudd), a man who’s facing financial ruin and a federal investigation for shady deals made by his father’s (Jack Nicholson) company. ‘How Do You Know’ hits theaters Dec. 17.

As posted about before, Reese was honoured with a Star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame yesterday, and I now have more coverage from the event for you! There are literally hundreds of photos from this event, so while I work on sorting them out I have added the first batch of 32 photos to the Gallery for you. Reese looks her usual pretty and elegant self, wearing a Dolce & Gabbana dress from the Cruise 2011 collection, with red patent leather peep toe Jimmy Choo pumps and a gold and pave diamond bangle from Bochic. It’s really wonderful seeing her attend the event with her kids, and she made it a real family affair with her parents, brother, sister-in-law and nieces all accompanying her, alongside her boyfriend Jim Toth! Even making an appearance was her co-star from Legally Blonde, Bruiser Woods (well, it was probably a look-a-like )!

Reese Witherspoon finds herself having to pick between two suitors — Owen Wilson and Paul Rudd — in her new romantic comedy, ‘How Do You Know,’ in theaters December 17. Who will she choose?
“You’re looking at people that are at points in their lives that could go any way,” says Reese.
The laughable love triangle from Oscar winner James L. Brooks finds Reese as Lisa, a woman facing a difficult transition in her life who jumps into a relationship with the self-centered Matty (played by Owen). Then she meets George (played by Paul), a man who’s facing financial ruin and a federal investigation for shady deals made by his father’s company.
“Lisa and Matty have been dating for a few weeks,” explains Reese. “George and Lisa meet and it turns out to be the most horrible date ever.”
“What would happen if two people were to meet on the worst day of their lives?” asks Paul.
As the relationships progress, the three characters get more tangled as they try to navigate their own choices.
“Extra’s” AJ Calloway laughed with actress Reese Witherspoon at the Avon Foundation for Women event in NYC, chatting about her new movie with Jack Nicholson (“How Do You Know”), her shoes (Louboutin) and doing a mini-triathlon (with her 11-year-old daughter, Ava).
“It was hard,” Witherspoon said of the triathlon. “My results showed my lack of training. Ava pointed out that a 5th-grader passed me.”
The first trailer for Reese’s upcoming movie How Do You Know has finally been released! The film is still set for release on December 17th in the US, and the synopsis is as follows:
The film centers on a love triangle between a professional baseball player (Wilson), a white collar executive (Rudd), and the object of their affection (Witherspoon).

Many news sources are reporting on Robert Pattinson having cut his hair (shocking!), and on a recent appearance on the Ellen Show, he confirmed it was for Water For Elephants. He also stated that work on the film starts today – May 20th – in Los Angeles, and photos can be seen at Celebrity-Gossip.net of him on the set today. No sign of Reese yet, but I will keep my eyes out and post the first set photos as soon as I find any! Feel free to post a comment here if you come across any.

EDIT: I’ve been looking for more details, and come across a video of Reese talking about the project, and a further quote from Robert Pattinson.
“It’s set in the Depression era, when circuses traveled by train and this guy runs away and jumps on a train to be a hobo and by accident, he doesnt realize it’s a circus train. He becomes part of this world because he has no life to go back to and ends up falling in love with the ringmaster’s wife, played by Reese Witherspoon. The ringmaster just happens to be kind of a schizophrenic as well. He’s a most charismatic and terrifying person. He’s Christoph Waltz from Inglourious Basterds. I did a read through yesterday with him. He was sitting right next to me. It was a little terrifying.” – Robert Pattinson
Reese was featured on Entertainment Tonight on March 10th, after the Avon & Vital Voices Breakfast Meeting event. She spoke about the work Avon is doing for anti-violence against women campaigns. Reese also joked that she tells her kids that Michelle Obama’s kids only get dessert at the weekends, and she laughed when asked if she had any political aspirations!
