Reese is currently in attendance at the event to honour her with a Hollywood Walk Of Fame Star, and photos have started to surface! Reese looks pretty in a little black dress with red dots, and, in a surprise move, has her kids with her! Also with her are her parents Betty & John, her boyfriend Jim Toth, and directors James L. Brooks (How Do You Know) and James Mangold (Walk The Line!). It’s great to see Reese celebrating this special day with her family.
Below are a few preview photos from the event – there are bound to be many, many photos around from this event, so I will leave you with these previews for now, and be back with full coverage from the event for you tomorrow! Be sure to check back for all that wonderful Reese goodness!
And congratulations once again to Reese on her Star!
Reese will be receiving her Star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame later today, but before that event starts, I have a couple of other updates for you.
Last week the first official photo from Water For Elephants was released, and it shows all 3 main characters – Reese as Marlena, Robert Pattinson as Jacob, and Christoph Waltz as August. This image appears to be some kind of poster or flyer to announce the release of movie tie-in versions of the book, a paperback of which will be released at the beginning of March 2011. Read more further down this post below the image preview.
We also have an official synopsis for the film:
As a young man, Jacob Jankowski (Robert Pattinson) was tossed by fate onto a rickety train that was home to the Benzini Brothers Most Spectacular Show on Earth. It was the early part of the great Depression, and for Jacob, now ninety, the circus world he remembers was both his salvation and a living hell. A veterinary student just shy of a degree, he was put in charge of caring for the circus menagerie.
It was there that he met Marlena (Reese Witherspoon), the beautiful equestrian star married to August (Christoph Waltz), the charismatic but twisted animal trainer. And he met Rosie, an un-trainable elephant who was the great gray hope for this third-rate traveling show. The bond that grew among this unlikely trio was one of love and trust, and, ultimately, it was their only hope for survival.
Water For Elephants is currently scheduled for release in the US on April 15th 2011, and in the UK a week later on April 22nd.

What a perfect start to the magazine year – Reese graces the cover of the January 2011 issue of US Glamour, with an interesting new interview inside and a red-hot new photoshoot. Reese is promoting How Do You Know! You can view the cover to your left, and I’ve added the photoshoot pictures to the Gallery. Read the full interview under the cut.
If anyone can provide Glamour Reese Witherspoon with a full set of scans from this interview then please get in touch! We’d all be very grateful!

Reese Witherspoon: Hot, Happy and Having a Blast
Reese Witherspoon has starred in 25 films (and produced five), birthed two kids and won an Oscar. So why does it seem like Reese’s life is just beginning? She talks to Glamour about men, moves and finding her mojo. Read the interview, then check out the pics from her photo shoot.

Reese Witherspoon walks into Cookshop, a restaurant in New York City’s Chelsea neighborhood, bearing a gift: a small box of chocolates. When I say I’ll always cherish them, she cocks her head, levels her blue eyes on me and cheerfully snaps, “You’d better eat them.” At the age of 34, she is as tiny as a kitten, barely 5’2”. But it doesn’t take long to realize there is nothing fragile about her. She whips off her gray sock hat, orders chicken soup and is soon recounting the seven months she spent training with the UCLA softball team to prepare for her latest romantic comedy, How Do You Know, in which she plays a former star athlete transitioning out of her twenties. Witherspoon, too, went through a significant transition as she entered her thirties: a divorce from actor Ryan Phillippe, the father of her two children. Afterward, she took a break from acting; a two-year relationship with Jake Gyllenhaal came to an end in 2009. But now she is quietly involved with Hollywood agent Jim Toth (who, at press time, she tells Glamour she’s not engaged to) and back to working full-time. And she’s ready to open up. Maybe it was all that softball, but Witherspoon happily took a swing at every question thrown at her.
Angela Bassett has joined Fox’s “This Means War” alongside Chris Pine, Tom Hardy and Reese Witherspoon, with McG directing.
The action/romantic comedy centers on two best friends and international spies who fall in love with the same woman and declare war on each other.
Producers are Will Smith, James Lassiter, Robert Simonds, Witherspoon and Simon Kinberg.
Bassett will play the boss to Pine and Hardy’s characters who has dedicated her entire life to the spy business and has no life outside the CIA.
She will next be seen in Sony’s wedding comedy “Jumping the Broom,” due out May 6, and Warner’s “Green Lantern,” opening June 17.
ABC and the Mark Gordon Co. are developing a television pilot, “One Police Plaza,” for Bassett to star in as the first female police commissioner in New York City.
Big thanks goes to Kellyann for sharing a link in the previous post that has a date for the world premiere of How Do You Know! The stars will be walking the red carpet to promote How Do You Know on Monday December 13th at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. My guess is that Reese will be in attendance, and if she is then you can count on Glamour Reese Witherspoon to bring you all the coverage!
KSBRadio.com report that Reese will receive her Hollywood Walk Of Fame Star this coming Wednesday – December 1st. As is often the case, it is obviously timed to coincide with promotion for How Do You Know, and the films director, James L. Brooks, will speak at the ceremony.
Congratulations again to Reese on this wonderful honour! This is sure to be a great start to the month for Reese, and for us Reese fans. Remember that How Do You Know is released in the US on December 17th, so we’re bound to be having a Reese-packed month!
How about a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame? Reese Witherspoon will be honored with a star this Wednesday. James L. Brooks is scheduled to be the celeb who’ll speak before she gives her thank-you speech. He just directed her in a new comedy called “How Do You Know.” More celebrity speakers could be added between now and then.
Reese has now finished filming her scenes for This Means War! She spent her last couple of days on set on Monday and Tuesday. On Monday Reese was seen rolling around with Chris Pine and Tom Hardy, and on Tuesday some of her final scenes included a scene in which she starts off by yelling at Chris Pine before they launch into a big kiss. Spoiler for the ending, maybe?! 90+ photos from these 2 days have now been added to the Gallery.
Reese Witherspoon has insisted good manners cost nothing.
The Hollywood actress, who grew up in Nashville, Tennessee, said that her mother Betty made sure she grew up knowing the importance of being courteous.
She told The Sun: “I was always taught that good manners cost nothing – but are worth such a lot. My mother even sent me to etiquette lessons. It was close to the old-fashioned English upbringing, where you learn where to place the knives and forks. I had that bred in to me, even though we lived in Nashville, Tennessee. I was taught to be polite in conversation, smile a lot and treat people with respect.”
She admitted her childhood in the South left her with a need to be a people pleaser. “Whenever I talk about what it means to be a girl from the American South, I always end up talking about guilt. We can’t stand anyone not liking us. I send a lot of thank-you notes and buy plenty of gifts.”
Want more photos from the set of This Means War? I hope so, because I’ve added another 170+ from the past 2 days of shooting! November 18th was a big day of action on the set, with all 3 main stars filming a car chase scene complete with guns, plus Reese getting held hostage with her wrists tied up. The day after, November 19th, seemed to be a quieter day with Reese filming scenes with Tom Hardy. Reese is looking fantastic on the set of this movie, don’t you think? Hope you enjoy all the photos!
Reese was snapped filming This Means War with her two male co-stars, Tom Hardy and Chris Pine, in Vancouver yesterday. You can see that Reese has her hands tied up, and Tom and Chris look bloody and dirty … but they’re still smiling and seem to be having a great time filming!
