• "So what are you hiding from? The law or is it just a bad nosejob?"

Quotes: Ms. Witherspoon

- "It's sort of a fairy tale. It's [about] a woman whose family is cursed, and the first-born girl of the family has a pig face until she marries into a different bloodline."

- "I am producing a film for my company called Penelope that Christina Ricci and Hayden Christensen are going to star in. I am going to do a role in that. That is going to be next year. It is a fairy tale about a girl who has a curse in her family. [The character played by Christina Ricci] has a pig face. It is sort of a family curse and in order to get the curse off her family, she has to go through this process. I play her quirky best friend."

- "The movie is great, it's wonderful and beautiful and has a beautiful production design and Christina is so magical in it. I think people are really gonna love it."

- "Christina has a haunting beauty; those communicative, deep, soulful eyes."

Quotes: Others on Reese

- "It's a modern-day fable about this girl whose family lineage is cursed. She's born with a pig's nose! And the only way to break the curse is for someone of her own kind to accept and love her. My agent was actually afraid to send the script to me because she thought I'd be offended."
- Christina Ricci

- "It's all about sort of self acceptance and not hating yourself. But mostly, I think, beyond all that, we are just trying to make a really gorgeous, entertaining film. A fantasy. I mean, this story takes place very much inside a kind of a created, surrealistic, kind of world. So, hopefully people will just get wrapped up in the fantasy of all of it."
- Christina Ricci

- "She's the executive producer on this so she is the boss. So, you know, nobody messes with Reese. And she's got her husband here so you doubly don't want to mess with Reese, otherwise you`ll have him beating you up. Other than that it's been fine. Everybody's just been very pleased for her and tiny bit kind of like, 'wow, wow, you won an Oscar'."
- James McAvoy on working with Reese

- "It's great to see people who work really hard get the accolades they deserve. Working with Charlize (Theron) and seeing how much she put into that role and how hard she worked every single day, it's great to see people awarded for that kind of work and I've know Reese for a long time and I know sh'`s worked really hard for years and years and she deserves it. I'`s really sort of reaffirming to see people who deserve it getting the nod."
- Christina Ricci on Reese's Oscar win

- "This is certainly a low budget film. It certainly has been a struggle with the amount that is in the script and the detail and the amount of cast and all the different sets. It's quite complex in that way. I sort of see that as a challenge and it's fun because you can creatively solve problems or at least try to. Sometimes you can, sometimes you can't."
- Mark Palansky
