Whilst continuing to sort the new event photos, I was going through my computer to see what else I had ready to upload for you, and I came across a batch of icons made for us! Big thanks to Maria and Gel for making and contributing these gorgeous icons to GRW. Check them out on our Icons page:
Back to the missing October/November events, and today I have added over 120 photos from the Elle Women In Hollywood Tribute that Reese attended a few weeks ago. She was there to present her friend and Friends co-star Jennifer Aniston with one of the Elle awards on the night. Reese looked smart in a Bocanegra trouser suit with a Maje camisole and Christian Louboutin shoes, and accessorised with a Lambertson Truex clutch and Irene Neuwirth earrings that added a splash of colour to her outfit. During the event, Reese was snapped greeting Jennifer backstage, and chatting with Jennifer’s boyfriend, Justin Theroux, their friend Chelsea Handler, and Camila Alves.
Photos are in our Gallery now, and further down this post you will find videos and articles from the event.
A new official video featuring a compilation of various footage of Reese working for Avon was posted on YouTube recently, to promote last month’s Breast Cancer Awareness month.
Breast Cancer Awareness Month is a time of education, support and empowerment for breast cancer survivors, those battling the disease, and family members and friends who have been touched by breast cancer. Reese Witherspoon, Honorary Chairman of the Avon Foundation for Women, is partnering with the Avon Foundation to encourage everyone to get involved in the cause and make a difference in the fight against breast cancer.
Skipping forward a bit, the most recent event Ms Reese has attended is the Country Music Association Awards, where she looked striking in a strapless hot pink Stella McCartney dress with Van Cleef & Arpels jewellry. This pink looks amazing on her! It seems Reese skipped the red carpet and went straight to the show for this event. She was on hand during the ceremony to present the award for Male Vocalist of the Year to Blake Shelton.
Sadly I haven’t found a video of her on stage presenting (if you can help us with this, let me know!), but photos can be seen in our Gallery.
(Photos from two more recent events are on their way – they just require a bit more sorting as there are so many!)

Continuing the October/November event catch-up, we now have photos from the New York Avon Walk For Breast Cancer that Reese attended last month. Reese walked, talked and posed at the event, and looked casual and comfy in a black Avon t-shirt and black trousers.
I’ve already posted a couple of articles/videos that came from this Walk, but further down this post are a few more. I love hearing/reading Reese talk about her work for Avon, as she’s obviously really passionate about it and it means a lot to her.
A few days ago I posted the news that Reese was being considered for Clint Eastwood’s upcoming film, Trouble With The Curve, and Variety now confirm that Amy Adams has been offered the role. We’ll keep you posted on any further developments!
Eastwood pitches ‘Curve’ to Amy Adams
Clint Eastwood’s next co-star looks to be Amy Adams, who has been offered the role of his estranged daughter by Warner Bros. in “Trouble With The Curve.”
Robert Lorenz, Eastwood’s Malpaso partner, is in talks to make his directorial debut with the Warner Bros. pic written by Randy Brown.
Story centers on Eastwood’s character, an aging baseball scout who’s losing his sight and decides to take a road trip to Atlanta with his daughter to check out a hot prospect. Malpaso will produce.
Michele Weissler, who brought the project to Malpaso, will also have some producing duties.
The studio was waiting for Eastwood’s deal to close before looking for the female lead, but sources say that Sandra Bullock and Adams were being eyed from the beginning.
Bullock’s schedule is full, so the studio focused on Adams, but her schedule also looks busy.
Adams can be seen next in Disney’s “The Muppets,” which bows Nov. 23, and she is currently filming WB’s “Man of Steel.”
She is repped by WME and Brillstein Entertainment.
A few weeks ago Reese gave an interview to ABCNews, in which she talked about her recent work with Avon, and why she loves making romantic comedies:
Reese has attended several events in the last few weeks, and I am now working to catch up on photos from them.
At the 2nd annual Art Mère / Art Père Night, which was held to benefit the LIVEstrong Foundation, Reese posed for photos with her husband Jim Toth, as well as her Mud co-star Matthew McConaughey and his partner Camila Alves. Jim’s father, James Toth Sr. was being honoured at the event. Reese looked super chic in a leopard print dress and black blazer. Further down this post is the press release for the event and a video with some brief footage of Reese posing for the photographers. And in our Gallery are 5 HQ photos from the event.
Long time no update again, and I’m sorry about that! To start catching up, I’ve added various magazine scans to the Gallery in the past couple of days, including scans from Reese’s recent Marie Claire UK cover spread (same as the US one), and from an issue of The Mail On Sunday’s ‘You’ Magazine from earlier this year. Big thanks to Lorna, Mirik, Luciana and Maria for their contributions of scans!
I’ve also added 2 more gorgeous photos from Reese’s Marie Claire photoshoot.
Lots of new events pics coming next, I’ll have the first batch up later today all being well…
“Every three minutes a woman is diagnosed, and that’s just unacceptable.”
This is how Reese Witherspoon speaks about breast cancer, a disease that more than 200,000 women in the U.S. were diagnosed with in 2007 alone. On Oct. 16, Witherspoon joined more than 3,000 men and women at the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer in New York City, raising more than $8.4 million for breast cancer research and care — just one of many events held throughout October, also known as Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Organizations such as Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization and the Avon Foundation use Breast Cancer Awareness Month as a way to educate the public about the disease and how to be proactive when it comes to detection. Acting as a public face of the Avon Foundation, it is this consciousness-raising role that Reese Witherspoon finds herself in. In town for the walk and to announce the foundation’s latest Global Scholars Initiative, we had a chance to catch up with Witherspoon (who was just as sweet as she appears to be on-screen) and learn more about her involvement with breast cancer education.
Witherspoon has been the foundation’s global ambassador for the past five years, and she says the experience alone has been an education:
When I was first approached by Avon to represent their foundation … I wanted to know, what were the issues on women’s minds? … Breast cancer is first and foremost on the list of concerns for women. Domestic violence is also in the top three … It was really an education for me to see that these are the issues affecting women every day of their lives.
